The annual highlight of the initiative is International Day of Peace, which is celebrated worldwide on September 21. World Peace Emerging - www.worldpeaceemerging.com
The people you'll meet at World Peace Emerging are champions. Ordinary people who have taken an extraordinary risk to make change in the world we all share. These champions are passionate, they are innovative, and they've devoted themselves to solving problems that have left most of us feeling helpless. For these team players, impossible doesn't exist, and we're finding them in every corner of the Earth. Wherever there are problems, there are people striving against all odds, hard at work - Saving Our World! ÊWe've chosen them for their successes and their track records. They are already making an impact - be it helping people get up out of poverty, or disease, or oppression; or saving our planet with energy solutions, new farming methods or reforestation. But they are also struggling, with minimal funding and resources. Politicians are not going to remedy the world's ills, they have too many conflicted interests. The changes they are making are just too small and too slow. Our champions are already making strides. We can help them succeed. You and I can be their supporters, their cheerleaders, their strength - We'll put steam in this engine and accelerate the push toward a better world. Together we can build the world we want to see.
C'mon... All aboard! It's time! No one else can take your place!
Please help us find projects in the United States. We're looking for news of people who are making positive change - real solutions to poverty, hunger, pollution and other ills that effect us all.
